In 2027, the ALS Society of New Brunswick & Nova Scotia will mark 40 years of supporting people living with ALS and their families.

As we prepare for this milestone, we are inviting our community to help us honour the people, stories, memories, and moments that have shaped our Society since 1987.

Through 40 Faces, 40 Stories, we celebrate the past while building a stronger support for the future.

Who We Are

The ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia supports individuals and families affected by ALS through care and advocacy, helping you navigate a difficult disease with dignity, purpose, and hope. We are here to help, so please reach out to us anytime.

The ALS Society also provides access to an online resource designed to help you organize and coordinate care. This tool assists families in documenting daily routines, nutrition, medications, preferences, and care needs.

Adaptive Boating Scene

Equipment Loan Program

Our Equipment Loan Program provides essential medical equipment to eligible ALS clients across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia at no cost. This support helps people stay safe, comfortable, and more independent at home for as long as possible.

Breathing Equipment Initial Set-Up Program

Financial assistance to help cover the initial set-up fees for essential breathing equipment such as cough assists, Bi-PAP machines, and suction units.

Virtual Meeting Screen

Support Group

Our monthly Support Group is a welcoming space for people living with ALS and their family members or caregivers to connect, share, and learn together. Meetings are held on Zoom and include peer support, conversation, and an educational component.

Financial support to help people living with ALS cover the cost of feeding formula after a feeding tube is prescribed.
