Under the current circumstances in the Halifax Regional Municipality, the ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia has made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person ALS Walk Strong event scheduled for this Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Dewolf Park in Bedford. The health and safety of everyone is our top priority. While the situation is still ongoing and evolving, we felt it was the best decision for everyone.
We are disappointed we aren’t able to gather in person this year! But, that does not mean we can’t celebrate your fundraising efforts and create lots of awareness! We encourage everyone who planned on attending the Halifax ALS Walk Strong to get your team together to have a Friends & Family walk later this month. Make sure to take lots of photos and send them to us.
Our walk website, www.alswalkstrong.ca, will stay open until the fall so you can continue to collect donations beyond Saturday!
CASH & CHEQUE DONATIONS
The ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia invites you to our office and warehouse in Burnside on Saturday, June 3, 2023, between 10 AM and 12 PM to drop off cash and cheque donations.
Get your photo taken in front of our Memory\Honour wall, have a chance to win prizes, and get some swag!
Client Services Manager, Terri Cooper, would be happy to give you a tour of our warehouse to show you where your donor dollars are going and how the equipment helps our families.
If you are unable to make it Saturday and have cash and cheque donations, we can accept e-transfer by emailing Office Manager, Kerry Mahar, at email@example.com. Please make the password ‘alswalkstrong’ – all one word with no spaces. Additionally, please email your pledge contact information so we can issue tax receipts. You may also mail in your cheque donations – PLEASE DO NOT send cash by mail.
Our office is a bit hard to find! We are on the corner of Windmill and Akerley – we are not visible from the streets. Look for the signs on the road to point you in the right direction.
